Whether you’re majoring in one of Pott College’s sciences, math, or kinesiology and sport, this LLC can be your home. You’ll participate in a mentoring program and interact with USI faculty. Your LLC might involve STEM-related field trips, competitions, and health & wellness events. Maybe you’ll perform experiments on food from Evansville’s Fall Festival or work with local K-12 science students!
Students in the LLC will take your UNIV 101 First Year Experience class together. This is a Core 39 required class.
In addition, you'll be able to choose from a wide-range of LLC sections in classes such as Public Speaking, Art, History, Psychology, Career Planning, Geography, Hiking, and much more! You will join with students from other LLCs to take the classes that work best for YOUR schedule, for YOUR major, and for YOUR interests.
LLC Signature Experiences:
Your LLC will engage in a mentor/mentee program with other Pott College students and faculty! You'll have bi-weekly events like cook-outs, trivia night, Thanksgiving dinner with the Dean, and student panels. Your LLC will also include health and wellness events, like learning how to deal with stress, USI's Doggie Dash (volunteer, walk, or run with doggies!), and much more. What else do you want your LLC to do? The sky's the limit, so help us help YOU have a great year!
Dr. Glenna Bower is your LLC Mentor!
"Hello! I am very excited about the Pott College LLC. I have worked with the LLC’s in previous years offering a peer mentoring program. I will continue to provide the peer mentoring program in my new role as the Pott College LLC Mentor. I am the Associate Dean of the Pott College and Professor in the Kinesiology and Sport Department. I have been at the University of Southern Indiana for almost 23 years. When I am not working, I like to bike, hike, and walk my dogs. I also enjoy watching NFL football and NCAA basketball. I am looking forward to the Pott College LLC and know that you will build lasting relationships and learn from one another. I want this to be an exciting LLC and look forward to working with all of you!"
