Association of German Students

The Association of German Students at the University of Southern Indiana offers the opportunity to make new friends while participating in a variety of German-related activities. Club events include a trip to the Cincinnati Oktoberfest, trips to Amish and ethnic German restaurants in the area, German film evenings, bake sales, a German Stammtisch, and Lebkuchenträume (a gingerbread house contest with high school students).

The Stammtisch, or German language table, meets regularly in a local restaurant. Students of German, members of the community, and guests from German-speaking countries convene over pizza to converse in German. Conversation is at every level, beginning to advanced.
