Global Community - Living Learning Community

One unique living space is the Global Community Floor, located in Ruston Residence Hall.  The Global Community Floor is one of the Living Learning Communities, which allow students with similar interests, goals, and academic programs to live in the same environment.  The Global Community allows friendships to develop across cultures, along with respect and appreciation for the world at large, while celebrating our colorful diversity.

The Global Community is open to all international students, regardless of major or class standing.  The floor is a wonderful combination of international students and American freshmen who want the opportunity to learn more about the world through the exploration of cultures and global issues.  There are programs designed to provide residents with a diverse view of different countries, cultures, and customs.  Our biggest program is Culture Nights. The Culture Nights events take place twice each month, are open to the USI and Evansville community, and allow residents to present about their country and culture.  Previous Culture Nights have included Tunisia Culture Night, Mexico Culture Night, Carnival Celebration, Zimbabwe Culture Night, and many more.
