Description of Program
The graying of America is contributing to a projection that by the year 2030, 22 percent of Americans will be over the age of 65. A collaborative interprofessional approach to the care can promote health and well-being of the older patient. The health professional will a deeper understanding of the physiology of aging, assessment of the older adult, geriatric pharmacotherapy and lifestyle considerations can further patient outcomes.
The learning outcome of this program is to enable the learner to incorporate the latest clinical guidelines and best practice to care of aging patients through interprofessional collaborative practice.
