USI’s COVID-19 website has received a facelift and new functionality. A newly-designed homepage provides a cleaner look and breaks information into compartments that are easier to navigate. Communications, Videos, the Screagles Fly Together Page and Contact Form can now be accessed from tabs along the top of the page. Information for Current Students; Employees; and Incoming and Prospective Students has now been separated into three pages easily accessed from buttons on the homepage. University Communications will continue to provide the latest information through email updates and that information will be added to the Communications page. We hope these updates make it easier to find and keep up to date with important information.

Modified Academic Policies for Spring 2020

USI’s Student Financial Success Center is now offering virtual mentoring through Microsoft Teams. Meet with a mentor by filling out a Become a Client Form on the website. The center can help you create and stick to a budget during difficult times.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Southern Indiana has enacted safety measures for campus and other University properties. Here’s how these will impact Historic New Harmony programs and operations in New Harmony, Indiana.
All Historic New Harmony staff, other than those deemed authorized personnel by the University, are working remotely through April 30. (This is subject to change.)
All special events, conferences, meetings and classes hosted by Historic New Harmony and the New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art, as well as programs hosted by outside organizations at these sites, are canceled through August 14. This includes events at all property owned or leased by the University of Southern Indiana.
The Atheneum Visitors Center and the New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art will re-open when the remote work order ends and USI staff are allowed to return to campus or respective New Harmony sites.
In following with the University guidance for events, the 1 p.m. daily tour and any special tours of the Historic New Harmony properties are suspended through August 14. Self-guided walking tour booklets will be for sale at the Atheneum Museum Shop when it re-opens.
On Wednesday, April 15, Dr. Ronald Rochon, USI President, along with Dr. Mohammed Khayum, Provost, and members of the administrative staff, will again offer three live Q&A sessions for USI employees via Zoom video conferencing.
Participants are asked to turn on cameras and wear their favorite USI spirit gear.
These will be 45-minute moderated sessions. Sessions are broken down as follows:
Support Staff 9 - 9:45 a.m.
Faculty 10 - 10:45 a.m.
Administrators 11 - 11:45 a.m.
Email invites with login instructions went out on Monday, April 13. All sessions will be recorded and made available for later viewing on the USI COVID-19 website.
