Faculty who are interested in the Teaching Consultations program want to improve, refine, and/or further develop their teaching and improve student learning. The purpose in providing teaching consulatations is to engage colleagues in a reflective process of formative review and exploration of research-based practices and innovations. However, we do not conduct summative evaluations (i.e., evaluations of teaching competence for promotion, tenure, or annual reviews). Teaching consultations also are available to assist faculty who are developing their Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).
