Spring 2020 Updates

Due to COVID-19, Spring 2020 Commencement exercises have been rescheduled to Friday, August 14 for master and doctoral degree candidates and Saturday, August 15 for undergraduate students. This may be subject to change based on timely guidance related to the coronavirus by state and federal health authorities and government officials.

Did you order your cap and gown from the Campus Store?
The Campus Store staff started processing orders the week of May 4. Graduation regalia, gifts, and apparel orders went out the week of May 11. Students who ordered items and requested pick-up in the store before the closure of campus were contacted for shipping arrangements. If you have specific questions about your order, please email

Participating In Commencement

If you wish to participate in Commencement exercises it is necessary for you to inform us of your intent to participate. Go to the Commencement website to complete your required Commencement reservation form. It’s quick and easy! You will receive confirmation of your reservation. If you do not receive a message confirming your reservation, if you have any questions about Commencement, or about this new reservation process, please call the Office of Special Events at 812-464-1930.

Graduation Announcement

The Campus Store has graduation announcements, note cards, and gold foil stickers for purchase.


Cap, gown, & tassel - individuals items available for sale in the USI Campus Store. Order the package or individual items online.


Cap, gown, tassel, & hood - this is a special order item. Please allow 30 days for delivery. Late orders will incur a $25.00 late fee and will not be guaranteed for delivery - also available for sale in the USI Campus Store. Order the package online.
