  - USI students (undergraduate and graduate) who are graduating in Spring or Fall 2024 and identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community are eligible to participate. Register here.

University Resources

Gender-Neutral Restrooms

The USI Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Council supports the Gender-Neutral Restroom Initiative targeting the need for gender-neutral restrooms throughout our campus. Currently, a gender-neutral bathroom can be found at the Recreation Fitness and Wellness Center.

How to Be an Ally

Wanting to support the LGBTQIA+ Community at USI but not sure how? There are several ways to get involved on campus and display your allyship. Students can consider joining our Sexuality and Gender Alliance student organization. You can find more information about Sexuality and Gender Alliance here. Showing support by attending events with friends is another great way to be an ally. Faculty/staff members have opportunities to help at our events and list themselves on our ally list. Those interested in being on the list can sign up here. If you would like to be on the list but have never completed ally training or something equivalent, please use this form to be added to our training waitlist for future dates. Students and USI employees can sign up for our seasonal newsletter for event updates and ways to get involved with us and with the Sexuality and Gender Alliance.

Ally List

The university employees included in our Ally List have undergone ally training in some capacity and remain committed to acting as allies to USI's LGBTQIA+ community. If you are looking for LGBTQIA+-friendly, reliable faculty/staff members on campus, you can find the most up to date Ally List here.

Gender Inclusive Housing

Students living on campus have the option to reside in gender-inclusive housing. Housing and Residence Life recognizes that traditional same-gender room assignments may not be appropriate for all students. Gender-inclusive housing provides an environment that welcomes students of all genders and identities. More information can be found here.

Counseling & Psychological Services
