University Health Center


The University Health Center (UHC) provides medical services and health-related information to students, faculty and staff. 

The University Health Center is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The UHC is located in the lower level of the Health Professions Center. Always call ahead, 812-465-1250, especially if experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

COVID-19 Testing on Campus

On-campus COVID-19 testing is available for USI students and employees at the University Health Center). Testing is available for USI students and employees by appointment only. (More information

Call the University Health Center (UHC) at 812-465-1250 to schedule an appointment to be tested for COVID-19.

Flu Shots on Campus

The University Health Center (UHC) is providing flu shots for USI students and employees. Appointments can be made by calling the UHC at 812-465-1250, though online scheduling is preferred. Flu shots are free for students with the Office Visit Plan. Students without the Office Visit Plan can bill the flu shot cost through insurance or pay $25.

Clean & Sanitize

Maintaining good personal hygiene practices like hand washing and cleaning/sanitizing frequently touched surfaces will help the safety of our community.

Wear a Mask

When you're on campus, you're required to wear a mask or face covering when in buildings and classrooms. Wear a mask to protect others, and they'll wear their mask to protect you.

Physically Distance

Stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arms’ length) from other people who are not from your household in both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Self-Monitor for Symptoms

The USI community should self-monitor and check daily for symptoms of COVID-19. Anyone with symptoms or who has been exposed to someone with COVID-19, should fill out a self-reporting form, remain off campus and contact their primary care physician for evaluation.
