The Last Lecture Series features a USI faculty member nominated and selected by students to answer one question: “If this were your last time to address a group of students, what would you say to them?”
2014 Speaker: Dr. Amie McKibban, Assistant Professor of Psychology
With a reflective tone, Dr. McKibban spoke on the many joys, frustrations, and victories culminated in an insightful and, at times, difficult look at lessons she has found led to a rich and meaningful life and career. With as much dedication as she devotes to her teaching and activism, Dr. McKibban approached the proverbial last lecture as though it really was her last. Through her anecdotes and stories as a triplet, college student, professor, feminist, and activist, she allowed those in attendance to reflect on their own lives and the lessons that can be learned.
