2016/2017 APPCOM Recap

Results/Team Information:

Congratulations to all participants of the 2016/2017 Inaugural APPCOM. APPCOM was designed to solicit regional innovators in collaboration with USI students to develop and refine software solutions to address perceived problems in the marketplace. The intent of this collaborative effort is to provide an opportunity for exploration, access to USI resources, and for winners some capital to move the solution forward. Below is a summary of the teams participating and the results of the event:

The following teams participated in the 2016/2017 APPCOM event:

  • Wave: An application designed to facilitate relationships for University students.
  • Advance Health Care Directives: An Application intended to aid in spreading awareness of and simplifying the process of filling out an Advanced Healthcare Directive.
  • LegalText: An application designed to provide a mechanism for those in the Legal Profession to communicate securely with their clients.
  • Jimbot: An application designed to enhance the relationship your gym has with you.
  • VitaEscapes: An application utilizing virtual reality that allows the users to escape and thereby reduce stress.
  • Blink: A Google Chrome extension that provides a one-stop communication platform that integrates contact information from multiple sources.
  • Nudget: A household management tool designed to make grocery shopping, managing schedules, and knowing where your family is currently available at the tip of your fingers.
  • EZ-Aisle: An application which is designed to make grocery shopping more efficient by providing the shopper the exact location of an item in the store.
