Coaching Skills for Today's Leaders

Designed for leaders at all levels who want to improve their ability to coach others more effectively, this workshop focuses on the key principles and skills needed.  This includes understanding the role of the coach and the main types of coaching opportunities; conducting effective coaching sessions; giving constructive feedback; and providing appropriate resources and removal of barriers that could stand in the way of the improved performance of those being coached.

Designed as an eight hour inactive course, participants will gain hands on knowledge through discussion, individual and group activities.

Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the characteristics of a good coach
  • Recognize opportunities to coach others
  • Conduct a coaching session
  • Provide constructive feedback
  • Break down barriers to action
