In addition to getting a head start on your college career, one of the greatest benefits to CAP students is being able to use USI’s Rice Library, both in person and online. On your first visit to the Rice Library, you should stop by the front desk with a valid photo ID to request a special CAP library card for use in checking out books during the period you are enrolled in a CAP course. Be aware that CAP students can accrue library fines if books are not returned on time; library fines will prevent you from registering in further CAP or USI courses and also will prevent access to transcripts. Books must be returned to the USI library or the drop box just outside.
USI’s extensive online library databases, available only to USI and CAP students and faculty, are password-protected. When you access the library databases from off-campus (www.usi.edu/library), enter your MyUSI username and PIN when prompted.
