March 29, 2017

"Accessories: Aiding & Abetting Fashion", a collaborative project between University Archives and Special Collections and the University Art Collection, is on display through July 12, 2017, at the McCutchan Exhibition Space located in the Wright Administration Building in front of the administrative offices.

The exhibit features the vintage fashion accessories collected over generations by the Beardsley, Montgomery, and Gordon Family, and a collection of early to mid-20th century beauty products belonging to Livia Alexander, a James A. Sanders Fellow.

To complement the fashion accessories, the artwork of early fashion reporter Helen Wallace also is on display. This Mount Carmel, Indiana native was the staff artist for the Chicago Herald-Examiner newspaper during the 1920s.
