Date with a donkey
November 28, 2016
Run your fingers through his long luxurious mane. Stare into his soulful eyes and ask "Would you like a carrot?" That's right, for this year's Administrative Assistant and Associates Organization's Silent Auction Scholarship Fundraiser you could win a date with Houdini Sweet Tea, the miniature donkey. Dr. Kat Draughon, executive director of Planning, Research and Assessment, is offering a meet and greet with her adorable little donkey, as well as a 5 x 7 commemorative photo of you and Sweet Tea. If that wasn't enough, she's buying lunch for you and a guest at Hawg and Sauce BBQ.
The Silent Auction opens today, November 28 and closes at midnight Monday, December 5. Proceeds will be used to provide scholarships to undergraduate students, last year three $750 awards were given. If you have donkey allergies or bbq makes you feel a little too saucy, there are a plethora of other items to bid on, including a day or night aerial tour of Evansville. Items are displayed online, as well as in the display case outside of Mitchell Auditorium in the Health Professions building. Use the quick bid button and bid high for some great items and for a wonderful cause. High bids will be updated daily at the end of the work day.
