New Harmony Theatre closes season with The Fox on the Fairway

July 12, 2016

New Harmony Theatre closes its 2016 summer season with The Fox on the Fairway, by Ken Ludwig, running July 22-24 and 29-31. The play is directed by Eric Altheide, New Harmony Theatre's resident associate director and assistant professor of theatre at USI. In this fast-paced farce, Ludwig mines the comic potential of the great and gentlemanly sport of golf as it is often played by gentlemen not so great. In classic Ludwig fashion, there is a little romance, a little hanky-panky, and human foibles playing out during a challenge match between rival country club presidents and their club champions.

The Fox on the Fairway stars returning Actors' Equity Association members Richard Price as Bingham, Melissa Carlile-Price as Pamela, Charlie Owens as Dickie, and Laurie Dawn as Muriel as well as University of Southern Indiana theatre students Craig Belwood as Justin and Aimee Grace as Louise. The actors are supported by costume designer Shan Jensen, lighting designer Eric Cope, scenic designer Paul Weimer, sound designer Kevin Gray, and equity stage manager Brittany K. Giles-Jones.

Tickets are on sale now. All evening performances start at 7:30 p.m. and matinees begin at 2 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults, $28 for seniors (60 and over), and $10 for those 25 or younger. All performances take place at Murphy Auditorium, 419 Tavern Street, New Harmony, Indiana.
