May 9, 2016

You may have heard some talk of USI's new online MBA program or, if you you're an alum, even received an email  inviting you to participate. Here's some more information about the new degree opportunity that went out to media sources around the region and the country today.

The University of Southern Indiana has launched an accelerated online Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree to help working adults gain essential business skills to boost their career. The degree from USI's Romain College of Business is designed to make earning an MBA more accessible to residents of Indiana and surrounding states.

"USI has a tradition of making quality higher education accessible," said Dr. Mohammed Khayum, dean of the Romain College of Business. "Our accelerated online MBA program offers highly interactive instruction and innovative approaches to problem solving that develop students' abilities to think critically and creatively within the business world, thereby enhancing professional growth."

The degree is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Only 5 percent of more than 16,000 of the world's business schools have earned this accreditation. The program offers six starts per year and can be completed in as few as 18 months. Priced at $12,500, the degree program offers affordable excellence with competitive admission requirements that include a GMAT waiver for many applicants with prior work and higher education experience.

Applications are now being accepted, and the first round of classes is scheduled to begin in August 2016. For more information and to apply, visit online.usi.edu.
