The Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice Studies club is for students who are majoring/minoring in one of the three fields or students who have an interest in the department. Membership in the club gives students opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities and opportunities within the SAC department, the university, and in the community.
Every semester the club holds fundraisers for student chosen organizations. Recently, funds have been raised for Willow Tree of Posey County and River City Food Co-Op. Students also held a supply drive and fundraiser for rural schools in the Peruvian Amazon.
The club actively participates in and helps organize the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes (Men’s Walk to End Rape and Violence) that is held annually on campus. Club members have previously accompanied classes on prison tours, and our most recent club trip was a visit to Cahokia Mounds.
