Dr. Renee Thompson, DNP, RN, CMSRN, will present on Bullying and Burnout: The Leadership Challenges of the 21st Century.  Workplace bullying and burnout are on the rise leading to poor retention, low morale, and ultimately, an unhealthy environment for employees and the patients they serve. This workshop is design to equip healthcare leaders with skills and strategies to finally eliminate bullying and reduce burnout!  As an international speaker and consultant Dr. Renee Thompson tackles the clinical and professional challenges facing healthcare leaders today.  With 26 years as a clinical nurse, nurse educator, and nurse executive, Dr. Thompson is an expert on workplace bullying, professional development, and clinical competence. She hosts an award winning blog and is the author of several popular books on bullying and professional development.  In order to fully understand the challenges facing leaders and their employees, Renee continues to practice as a bedside nurse. 

This year's conference will be held at the University of Evansville in Eykamp Hall
