20TH ANNUAL ADVANCED PRACTICE NURSING SYMPOSIUM

This annual symposium will focus on topics of interests to advanced practice nurses in ambulatory and acute care settings.
Wendy L. Wright, MS, RN, APRN, FNP, FAANP, will open the day with two clinically based plenary sessions related to current treatment options. Wendy is an adult and family nurse practitioner and the owner of two nurse practitioner owned and operated clinics within New Hampshire named: Wright & Associates Family Healthcare @ Amherst and @ Concord. In addition, she is a Partner with Partners in Healthcare Education, a medical education company. She is the Past President of NPACE and the Senior lecturer for Fitzgerald Health Education Associates.
Carolyn Buppert, MSN, JD, will continue the day with two plenary sessions providing expert legal guidance for nurse practitioners including safe prescribing practices. Carolyn is a healthcare attorney advising medical practices, institutions, non-profit organizations and individual clinicians throughout the United States. She is the author of nine books including Prescribing: Preventing legal Pitfalls for Nurse Practitioners and The Nurse Practitioner’s Business Practice and Legal Guide two of her four books published in 2017. Carolyn is a frequent contributor to various healthcare publications, writes a “Legal Limits” column for the Journal of Nurse Practitioners and lectures extensively on a variety of medical-legal issues.
The afternoon will conclude with four concurrent session options on a variety of topics important to advanced practice nurses, all nurses and students.
