Accounting Circle CPA Eligibility Scholarship

  • Faculty to select
Criteria: Student who have completed a bachelor's degree in accounting at the University of Southern Indiana and graduated with 3.25 or higher GPA. Full-time students returning to complete required additional credit hours necessary to qualify to sit for the Uniform CPA examination. Uniform CPA examination applicants must have completed a total of 150 credit hours to qualify to sit for the exam in Indiana. Good academic standing and maintain a 3.25 GPA.

Criteria: Award to two graduating seniors continuing their education at USI in either undergraduate or graduate courses to fulfill the 150 requirement for the CPA examination. Scholarship award is based on merit, and selected by the RCOB faculty.

Breivogel Accounting Scholarship

Criteria: Must be a U.S. citizen and full time student in good academic standing who is majoring in accounting and maintaining a 3.0 GPA. Must be a graduate of a Vanderburgh County high school. Must have sophomore or junior status to be considered for this scholarship, which will be used the following academic year. May be renewed for one additional year if criteria is still met. May not be awarded to a graduating senior.
Charles B. Michaels Memorial Scholarship

Criteria: Award to a student in the Romain College of Business with preference to an accounting major who is a sophomore or junior to be used during junior or senior year. Student must demonstrate financial need and must maintain a 3.0 GPA. May be applied to tuition and/or books. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Recipient must be enrolled during the upcoming academic year in order to receive this scholarship. May be re-awarded. Student Financial Assistance must validate need.

Criteria: A junior or senior accounting major with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Preference should be given to students who have shown involvement in University, student or professional organizations and community services. To be selected by the Accounting Scholarship Committee. Criteria: Award to a junior accounting major (to be used during senior year) planning a career in other public accounting, internal auditing or forensic accounting. GPA 3.25+. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Recipient must be enrolled during the upcoming academic year in order to receive this scholarship. Not renewable because it is awarded to a senior with the intent of graduating.

Criteria: To recruit and retain an incoming freshman in business, engineering, geology or nursing in the top 15 percent of high school class. Must demonstrate financial need. Automatically renewable if GPA of 2.5 is maintained as freshman, 2.75 as sophomore and 3.0 as a junior and senior. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Recipient must be enrolled during the upcoming academic year in order to receive this scholarship. Student Financial Assistance must validate need.

Criteria: Award to a U.S. citizen who is a full time student majoring in accounting and classified as junior status. Recipient should be in good academic standing and maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher and be planning a career in management accounting. Preference should be given to a student with Institute of Management Accountants involvement. Not renewable. Recipient must be enrolled in the upcoming year after selection in order to receive this scholarship.

Criteria: Certificate for a Romain College of Business undergraduate or MBA student. Student to take the Kaplan CPA Review course to prepare student to sit for the CPA Examination. Also, could be a student who recently has graduated and preparing to sit for the examination. Recipient must be enrolled during the coming academic year in order to receive this scholarship. Not renewable.
