The Career Mentor Program pairs USI students with USI graduates in their field of interest. Applications are reviewed in December, with matching taking place through January. The mentoring program will run from February through April. Activities may include job shadowing, introductions to others in a career field, resume assistance, mock interviews, and any other objectives/goals determined by you and your mentor. This program provides USI students a chance to experience what really happens from 9 to 5. Students choose their particular field of interest, then spend the day or half-day with a USI graduate observing the daily work routine. This match takes place during the spring semester. It's a great way to gain valuable career information, expand career networks, and develop confidence. The Office of Alumni and Volunteer Services maintains a list of alumni participating in the program and has the application forms for students.
